El Rushbo smells a rat.

After thirty years in broadcasting, the king of talk radio, Rush Limbaugh knows a rat when he smells one and he warned his audience on Thursday that Democrats will stop at nothing and are trying to steal the Ohio special election.

Rush is of course referring to the “oh look what we fund” stash of 500 votes that were just lying around and mysteriously discovered at an Ohio polling station.  And surprise … they cut Republican Troy Balderson’s lead by 190 votes.

Yep - there they were just lying there waiting to be counted.  And as luck would have it the mysterious pile of votes heavily favored Democrat O'Connor magically giving him a net gain of 190 votes to narrow the lead.

"The votes from a portion of one voting location had not been processed into the tabulation system," according to a Franklin County Board of Elections news release.

While Balderson declared victory Tuesday night in the closely watched congressional district race in central Ohio, O'Connor, who has not conceded, says he's waiting for all votes to be counted.

Those votes include 3,435 provisional ballots and 5,048 absentee ballots, which will be tabulated August 18th before the Aug. 24 deadline.

Maybe it’s the luck of the Irish that just settled on O’Connor like a warm blanket on a cold night.   I can’t wait to see the count of the provisional and absentee ballots.  One wonders how much more luck of the Irish might settle on O’Connor when those votes are tallied.
