Once disgraced now defeated Never-Trumper Mark Sanford is hammered in South Carolina by Katie Arrington a pro-Trump State lawmaker.  With over 50% of the vote Arrington will lead the Republican charge for SC District 1 in the GOP effort to hang on to the House of Representatives.

Each election is crucial since so many Republicans are retiring which opens up a lot of vulnerabilities and creates more of a probability of Democrat pickups.  Add that to the historic propensity of the party out of power picking up seats in mid terms and the Republicans have a real fight on their hands.  What is at stake according to GOP candidates is the rule of law and the Presidency of Donald Trump.   Democrats have vowed that if they take the House they will impeach the president.

But across the nation Tuesday was a good night for Trump and his supporters.   South Carolina’s Lee Bright a Trump supporter won the nomination to replace Trey Gowdy in the House, pro-Trump Corey Stewart will carry the GOP Banner to take the Senate seat currently held by leftist Democrat and defeated vice-presidential candidate Tim Caine.  Lieutenant Governor Henry McMaster whom Trump also endorsed came out the winner last night in the gubernatorial primary.

In Nevada Adam Laxalt another pro-Trumper won the GOP nomination for Governor in the Silver State, along with Danny Tarkanian the pro-Trump GOP nominee for Nevada’s 3rd district.  He will face off with Democrat Susie Lee in the fall.

In Maine Shawn Moody, 58, of Gorham who praised Trump during his campaign has secured the nomination to replace firebrand Governor Paul LePage who’s daughter was the spokes-person for the Moody campaign.
